Artificial Intelligence a New Era?

Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence means making our computer having the same problem-solving skills and decision-making capabilities as humans. Now we can see a great development in AI with data science. As the numbers, as well as level of machinery, are increasing day-by-day, we are working towards its intelligence. How we can reduce human works by making a machine with at most the same intelligence level.

Types Of AI?

There are 3 types of AI we have:

  1. Narrow(weak) AI,
  2. Strong AI, and
  3. Artificial Superintelligence.

Weak AI:

We have currently only achieved narrow AI. It is focused to perform specific tasks.  Weak AI drives most of the AI that surrounds us today.

Strong AI:

It is called Artificial General Intelligence, it is on par with human capabilities. It is a theoretical form of AI where a machine would have an intelligence equivalent to humans.

Artificial SuperIntelligence:

It is a theoretical concept in which we want to surpass the intelligence level and capabilities of the human brain. Scientists are working on this concept to create something more powerful than humans.

What are the uses of AI?

There are numerous, real-world applications of AI systems today. Below are some of the most common examples:

  1. Online Shopping:

Artificial intelligence is widely used to provide personalized recommendations to people, based for example on their previous searches and purchases or other online behavior.

2. Personal Assistant:

Smartphone uses AI that is as relevant and as personalized as possible. Mobile phones have virtual assistants to help users in many ways. Many mobile devices incorporate speech recognition into their systems to conduct voice searches—e.g. Siri, Alexa.

3. Automated stock trading:

Designed to optimize stock portfolios, AI-driven high-frequency trading platforms make thousands or even millions of trades per day without human intervention.

4. Against covid:

During the time of the pandemic, we have used thermal imaging on airports as well as we have detected lungs infection and other infections through computerized tomography. Tracking the data of the spread. All this happened successfully because of AI.

These are just a few uses of AI we have a never-ending list that how much we are dependent on AI.
